bio. Michael McCloskey Mr.
McCloskey joined Kana in June 1999 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to
joining Kana, Mr. McCloskey served in various positions including
President with Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc., a provider
of enterprise interaction management software. From 1995 to 1996, he
served as Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Vice
President, Operations at Network Appliance, Inc., a network data storage
device company. Prior to that, Mr. McCloskey served as Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer at Digital Microwave Corporation,
a telecommunications company. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. McCloskey was the
Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors of
Wavefront Technologies, a 3-D graphics visualization software
development company. Mr. McCloskey holds a B.S. in Business
Administration from Santa Clara University. Board of Advisors Jim Burton Jim is the
founder and CEO of C-T Link, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in
voice/data integration. He
is a founding member and currently vice-chairman of the board of
directors of the CTI Division of the MultiMedia Telecommunications
Association (MMTA) and serves on the Board of Governors of the MMTA.
C-T Link consults with major vendors in both the computer and
telephony industry regarding their CTI product development, distribution
and partnership strategies. Irving Ebert Irving has more
than 28 years' experience in the telecommunications industry working for
Bell Canada, Bell-Northern Research and Nortel Networks.
His current responsibility at Nortel is directing their
partnership strategy facing the service provider and carrier market
segment. Irving has also
held several VP positions at Nortel’s Ottawa location. Dan A.
Plashkes Dan is a
leader and entrepreneur with vision.
In 1986, he founded S&P Data, a customer interaction call
center that serviced some of the world’s leading corporations.
He grew this company to an 800-person organization with a solid
record of success and profitability, including selection by Arthur
Anderson as the best privately managed business in Canada.
Some of the clients include Mercedes-Benz, American Express,
Compaq, UPS, Apple, MCI, Sprint, AT&T, and McDonalds. Jerry
Petruzzelli Jerry has been a
partner of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP since June 1999, where his
practice focuses on nurturing emerging growth companies. He helps
establish these companies by providing them with his own or others’
experienced operating management, and by helping them obtain funding.
Jerry's client list includes companies from all areas of
high-technology: Internet; networking; database; medical devices;
software; computer; and semiconductor. Jerry was also a partner at Wise
& Shepard LLP for 5 years prior to their merger with Manatt, Phelps
& Phillips. He holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law
School and a B.A. from Yale University. Roger Schwantes Roger has more than 43 years
of experience in the telecommunications industry as a consultant and
business executive. Roger
was a significant factor in moving the Bell System and New York
Telephone toward digital technology.
He is currently self-employed as a telecommunications consultant
to companies such as Nortel, MCI, and Delmarva Powser.
He has held numerous executive positions, including VP Networks /
Consultant for Interpath, Inc., VP
Network Strategy and VP Marketing & Technology for Nortel, and Director
of Technology for NYNEX. Douglas Shinsato Douglas is based in Tokyo
with responsibility for Asia and the Pacific Rim. His purview includes
sales and management of the region’s operations including training, technical
support, localization, and implementation services. Prior to
joining Interactive Intelligence, Douglas held several executive
positions in the Asian region, including VP Asia for
Genesys Telecommunications Labs, VP with EDS-Japan and VP-North Asia for
EDS’ IT consulting operations in Japan. He was also a senior partner with
Deloitte Touche Tomhmatsu’s management consulting operations in Japan.
He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a
J.D. from Stanford Law School. Moris Simpson Moris has been named the CEO of a new photonics company that arose out of close cooperation between the National Research Council and Mitel Corporation. Moris has more than 22 years' experience in high-technology business and product development, strategic planning, business alliances, new ventures, and sales and marketing. While head of Nortel’s data networks division, he managed the world’s first commercial deployment of speech recognition technology, which was used to fully automate collect and credit card phone calls in 1989. He joined Mitel in 1999 as SVP Strategy & Corporate Development and Chief Technology & Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Mitel, he founded an international consulting firm in the telecommunications industry. |
